Editorial
Welcome to the twenty-second issue of Baffling Magazine.
This issue is unthemed and has eight stories—five from authors new to Baffling and three returning authors. Ayida Shonibar, who was of course in last issue, returns with the layered and surreal “Degrees Removed: In Validation of the Intellectual.” Akis Linardos and Bree Wernicke are both back with discomforting dark fantasy in “Our Will is a Forest,” and “The Bodyhouse” respectively.
Two science fiction offerings: Rodrigo Culagovski opens the issue with sharp and bitter “Marianne in an Unlit Bar on the Outer Curve of Human Space” and “When The Moons Forget To Dream” from Oladejo Abdullah Feranmi is a purposeful lullaby towards the back of the issue.
“Dear Search Committee” from Tehnuka is biting and funny, and the outro this issue is the whipsmart “That's How I Came to Be Possessed By the Ghost of Tallulah Bankhead” by JA Logwood.
The stunning cover by Luke Oram is inspired by Aggie Novak’s melancholy story, “The Ghost of Akimograd.”
Thank you so much to those supporting us at our Patreon. We couldn’t do it without you.
Enjoy the issue!
